Quality Assurance Specialist


Position Description:

Responsible for all reporting and analyzing for contract compliance.  Working with the Director, HSQE and closely with all other departments to ensure contract compliance is being met while adhering to Keolis Quality Assurance policies. To provide specialist advice on the coordination of the continual improvement of the integrated management system.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Ensure organizational compliance through inspections (quality controls/validation audits) to verify compliance with contractual objectives and ensures LRT and infrastructure are at the appropriate quality level
  • Manage Non-Conformities and Safety Issues and escalate identified problems to management
  • Manages internal and external audits
  • Participate in the analysis of project reliability performance and participates on the definition and follow up of corrective and preventive actions to solve gaps between product reliability and contractual or agree targets
  • Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain and analyze problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management
  • Ensure the establishment and maintenance of an effective and efficient internal document control system
  • Ensure that all Document Control activities are understood and implemented according to Keolis standards
  • Maintain all Keolis documentation to meet the established targets
  • Manage the review and approval of controlled documents to ensure that they are approved and issued in a timely manner
  • Recommend actions and strategies in order to improve the management of controlled documents and archived data
  • Advocate best practices and drive improvement of document management processes and procedures
  • Establish KPIs for continuous operational satisfaction improvements and determine methods of correction necessary to achieve and sustain desired results
  • Responsible for the development, measurement and reporting of quality performance indicators
  • Reports any quality or safety alerts
  • Responsible for ensuring the Safety Management System is fully compliant with all relevant safety requirements and all contractual obligations
  • Responsible for Quality Management and Quality Assurance of the integrated management system, ensuring the system adapts to any changes, and that it undergoes appropriate continual improvement



Knowledge and Skills :

  • Experience with Coruson enterprise safety management and incident reporting software is an asset
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practice
  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma
  • Preferred training in Lean Principles, such as Six Sigma, or Quality Auditor
  • Preferred 5+ years’ experience in quality assurance or administrative experience
  • Strong audit-related expertise, including understanding of compliance requirements, monitoring guidelines, standards e.g. ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and OHSAS 18001
  • Experience with rail or government industry is an asset
