LRV MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

ROLE PURPOSE
The LRV Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for leading the day-to-day aspects of light rail vehicle (LRV) maintenance. This will include working primarily on the afternoon & night shifts. Occasional day shift coverage will also be required. Working weekends will also be required.

- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining safety and quality;
- Strong manual dexterity to use various hand tools and equipment;
- Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and on-call requirements;
- Valid G driver’s license with ability to operate Hi-Rail vehicles on track.
EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in electrical or mechanical technology, or equivalent experience;
- Experience working with electrical and mechanical systems;
- Leadership experience preferred;
- Experience in rail transit or transportation industry preferred;
- Experience in writing maintenance procedures and work instructions;
- Maintenance work order experience;
- Maximo Experience an asset;
- DZ license an asset;
- Trade license an asset.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
MANEGERIAL LEADERSHIP
- Plan, schedule, assign, monitor, train and develop maintenance team to achieve Keolis and Maintenance objectives;
- Ensure team meets safety, quality and customer-service standards;
- Identify and respond to safety hazards/concerns, and support respective JHSC;
- Attend daily maintenance production meetings to ensure maintenance, inspection and cleaning complies with established standards;
- May also be required to supervise Building Workers and Technicians occasionally;
- Participate in professional development as required.
CONTRACTOR RELATIONS
- Oversee, supervise and audit work performed by subcontractors to meet Keolis standards;
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with vendors and other third parties to ensure service level requirements are maintained.
LRV TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE
- Ensure operation of LRV and shop equipment by leading team in the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, servicing and cleaning meeting Keolis and Maintenance standards;
- Monitor and resolve maintenance equipment and servicing issues, complete audits, identify and recommend improvements and implement change;
- Perform Electro-Mechanical Technician duties as required.
ADMINISTRATION AND OTHER
- Assist in development and implementation of Maintenance procedures and work instructions;
- Record work completed and materials used in work order system;
- Conduct inventory checks and order equipment, materials, and supplies for the LRV Maintenance to support LRV Operations;
- May be required to be a certified member of the JHSC;
- Comply with current company rules, regulations, procedures and operational instructions;
- Conduct all work in line with quality management expectations, as outlined in the relevant company directives and procedures;
- Conduct all work in a safe manner, as outlined in the relevant company directives and procedures;
- Other duties as assigned.
